About Us
OUR HISTORY
In 2014 with the help of her friends, family and community, a Richmond High School student began a dinner to show appreciation for the Veterans in our area. She felt more could be done to show our gratitude for our Veterans in the community. She gathered friends and family to put together this dinner. The first year was small, with only 30 in attendance but by the fifth year we had spread our reach to over 500 Veterans and their families. As we continue to grow, we are amazed at how loved this simple gesture our local Veterans feel. We have had many guest speakers, including local businessmen, our mayor, Congressmen and even a letter from a former President. Many local and national companies have donated towards our event. Volunteers have included Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, church groups, school organizations, and countless others.
We are now preparing for our nineth year. Amazing how much we have grown. The community has helped us so much to make this dinner happen. They have truly been a huge help in putting this together. We have been able to connect with groups in both Indianapolis and Dayton, Ohio. Fundraisers and reaching out to the community will continue to be very important.

Our first event was held in 2014 and served only about a dozen veterans and their families. Our largest event was the year before Covid hit and served more than 500 people and gathered support from all over the community.
